Prorock 44 vs Stock 44

Ok so simple question here....I hope.
I'm pretty sure they are the same size but I figure I'd ask to be sure.
I'm about to upgrade from a stock Dana 30 to the Prorock 44. I know the diff between those are different sizes, but is the diff on a stock 44 smaller then the Prorock?
Reason I ask is that there may be some clearance issues with the skid plates. I have the smittybilt oil/trans skid and on the stock 44 it may contact diff in flex situations. Also states that a 2" lift should alleviate that.

I'm in a 16JK with 2.5" RK flex.
Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

I have a Prorock 44 with a 2" AEV spacer lift and a Skid Row engine skid plate. I had to slightly trim one of the front corners of the engine skid plate for clearance. The Prorock 44 FAQ ( https://www.dynatrac.com/downloads/ProRock%20FAQ_revK.pdf ) states that you can slightly trim the big rib on the center section if you need to for oil pan clearance on a stock JK, so I guess you could do the same for skid plate clearance.

As recommended by Dynatrac, you should install the Prorock 44 without springs first and run it through its travel limits to make sure you have plenty of clearance.

And, yes, the thing is heavy - really heavy, especially if you get the 1/2" wall tubes like I did.
