Putting air in my tires tonight - question!

I'm so excited. So I bought this new 2016 Oscar Mike Freedom Edition in Graphite Crystal and it has 255/70/17 BF Goodrich tires on factory wheels. I was thinking of plastic dipping them or maybe ceramic coating them or maybe rattle canning them into a cool color like black. Murder is all the rage right now.

Wow, this is so exciting I kinda lost my breath... the room is spinning...

OK, I'm better. whew. So exciting

So I am thinking of adding 315's and not lifting it. Will it rub the fenders if I go off road?

Oh and if I do go off road, should I put nitrogen in the tires before I go to make the landings softer?

And I need everyones opinion on what I was thinking, but in reality could never afford to do, but I need your opinion anyway so I can tell my friends that I got advice from you guys and that you said to...

But really, this is so exciting.

Someone told me to use the search feature. Why search when everyone can answer my questions now since they are dramatically more important than spending some time to learn. Core math was hard, so I didnt do it. But this, this is exciting.

No wonder I stopped using bulletin boards a long time ago. I'm old...

Look kids, I know this whole thing is exciting but come on, take a moment, take a breath and learn something. I have never owned a Jeep (Hummer, Escalade, Mog, Extera, Expedition, Expedition XL, Yukon) but never a Jeep. In the 2 months I have owned it and joined here, I have learned more than I could ever imagine. I know what vendors to trust, what parts will set me apart and what I want to really do with my new vehicle. I know which members know there stuff, and which ones regurgitate internet folklore.

Cars are cool, trust me. But slow down and enjoy the proverbial ride.

Take 20 minutes and read. So many questions that are repeated here ad nauseum (that means over and over) that could be answered by searching and reading.

Now I am off to put LED's in every orifice my Jeep has.

Just use the air that comes out of the compressor. No need to use nitrogen, that I can see, since air is almost 80% nitrogen. Also, unless you plan on jumping your Jeep, you shouldn't have to make any landings.

so lets clog up the board with another useless thread. perhaps if op would have used the search they would have seen many threads like this already. Now pardon me, I need to go make fun of jeeps that arent set up exactly how I think is best!

KJ, I think the others did the same thing as I did, read about halfway through it and couldn't take it anymore. My head was spinning and was concerned the OP may pass out or hyperventilate. I went back and realized the OP's intentions.

I fill my tires with hydrogen. So when I throw a bead off-road I can ignite what remains and re-seat the bead.

GENIUS!

exactly. I used to be balls deep in a MC bulletin board for performance bikes. it was awesome, but every time a newB bought a bike, or had a cousin buy a bike or were thinking about buying a bike, they become obsessive about learning... at the cost of not taking the time to read. Only wanting instant gratification.

I have learned a ton in 2 months and try to impart my wisdom (engineering and mechanical) when possible. And I thank all of you.

OP - perhaps you should post details of your deal and trade in, including any written agreements so we can collectively opine on your personal security, state tax codes, your dealers accounting methods and weather the mileage on your new jeep is reasonable.

I snort Ritalin every morning. I'm a Sr. Editor for a pharmaceutical company. I have to stay awake somehow!

This also makes your Jeep lighter than air so you can float through the water hazards!!! Brilliant!!
