Radio cutting out then trouble code!!...any ideas?

Hello all…

Had this weird issue today as I left home…..took off, and after about 5 minutes into my drive while listening to the radio, I suddenly lost all sound..thought the radio station went off, but changed stations, even started a CD and nothing…all buttons on stereo were responsive, just no sound……after about 30 seconds or so the whole stereo turned off…totally, not even the clock or any light….within a few seconds the chime sounded, and the “engine” figure lit up on the dash….the Jeep drove perfectly though…..about a minute later sound returned and all worked well, but still had the engine light...I got to work and did the code extraction sequence, and got P0037 and P0057. I googled those and are O2 sensors 1 & 2 for bank 1…..

What do you guys make of this???...whats with the radio going out prior to the fault code going off??.....coincidence???....any thoughts?

For what its worth, no changes were done to the Jeep exept for a spark plug change and spark plug wire change (Taylor 8mm) a few days ago (Only got to change 3 of 6 wires due to time)...

Any ideas?

Thanks all!

Hey!

Well.....problem solved.....I checked all grounds, and found a loose grounding nut (Driver side inner fender), and disconnected ground from this same grounding nut to the ECM.....cleaned and tightened all grounds up, and have driven it for a week now with no recurrence.....

Later!
