Ram 3.6 vs Wrangler 3.6

I searched for this post so if I missed it - I apologize but is there a chip or something that restores the Wrangler 3.6l to the Ram 3.6l power? Wrangler 3.6l puts out 285 hp/260 the and the Ram - seemingly same engine puts out 305hp/269 the. Is this simply tuning?

Not sure if there is a chip or programer for this. That said... my wife has a 16 T&C which has the same 3.6 but with more ass programed in.

lots of things including different exhaust systems but I bet the RAM has a different cam. I don't know that for sure but really not many other ways to make more power from the same basic engine that is epa regulated other than cams and exhaust.

To see the real difference you would have to look at the HP and torque curves on a graph. Even though the Ram has more at peek the JK might have more at low end. An extra 10 HP does little good at 6K RPM. You want the power at 2K to 4K.

Right there could be some hard part differences between the two engines. I know the 5.7 Hemi in my patrol vehicle (Durango) makes slightly less power than the Chargers and Rams do to a different intake manifold needed to fit under the hood.
