rear body mounted handles.

So I bought 4 of the Willy's Jeep rear body mounted handles. I want to put two on each side of the rear quarter panels.

Im just looking for suggestions. Should I just use self tapping bolts from the outside or drill holes, put long bolts through and a washer and nut on the inside?

Does anyone know if its an outer sheet, inner sheet and hollow in the middle of that body section? Anything critical sandwiched between the sheet metal?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!

It's two sheets and its filled with foam in most places.

if you are wanting to mount them on the rear side, if you pull the carpet off just behind the B Pillar on the interior, there is a hole cut out that is just big enough to get your hand in.

If you intend on actually using them to bear weight, I would get a piece of flat steel and drill the same holes that are on the handle and use that on the backside of the body panel. Self tapping screws would rip out the first time someone tried to put weight on them.

Thanks for the advice. I will put some steel on the other side, drill through, and bolt all the way through with nuts on the end I guess.

Nice pic and sweet Jeep btw.
