Rear coil alignment

I have put on Rubicon express 2.5-inch lift coils for a JKU and the rear coils look like they are buckling/misaligned. What is causing this, pinion angle? Do i need adjustable control arms to rotate the axle around?

You have a slight bow, but it's not extreme and not a problem that I can see.

Consider a pair of RK coil correction wedges. Also when putting the springs back in, make sure the spring tang is in the rear.

That much bow is normal and nothing to worry about. Most jeeps are going to have that.

I used wedges to help, but mine were really close to making contact with the rear track bar.

That’s fine and perfectly normal. You should see what mine looks like with 3.5 lift and the axle pushed back an inch. Correction wedges will help a bit as stated above, I run them also.

Or...if you're really OCD, you cut the spring perches off and weld on new Artec spring perches clocked on the housing so the spring is straight and you don't need wedges. It was a lot of work, but my OCD is happier for it.
