Rear Dana 44 Eaton elocker 4 pinion install

Hi all,
I am new to Jeep Forum. Thinking about installing an Eaton 4 pinion elocker for my rear Dana 44 axle. It has a c clip that retains the half shaft on each side. I am wondering if anybody has actually install one of these for the JK. It is easy to remove the c clips from the stock diff; but reinstalling the drive shaft with the c clip will require removal of the pinion shafts within the elocker. It seems to me that the space will be very tight with the presence of the ring gear on the outside of the carrier, 4 pinion gears and the 2 side gears inside of the carrier. I have reviewed the installation manual, but it is for the older 2 pinion model. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I meant axle shaft with c-clip instead of drive shaft. Not thinking right after a few beers.

I don't believe the JK has C clips on the axle shafts.

There are no C clips on the axles. There is a retainer plate with 4 bolts behind the rotor and axle flange that holds the axle.
Do your research though. The JK D44 uses metric carrier bearings so your locker options are limited. Eaton is not one of the options at present.
