Rear Pinion Angle

So after installing a lift that netted me about 3.25 inches on my 2 door I went to go check the rear pinion angle to see what it was at. Measuring off the circles on the back of the pumpkin I had 7.2 degrees and measuring off the rear flange on the DS I had 7.8 degrees

. Will this work or will I need to get adjustable lowers and Not the adjustable uppers I have on the way to rotate the pinion down to get around -2 degrees beloW DS? The uppers I ordered I believe only go down to stock length which is what mine are so I have a feeling they will not be any help to me at this time.

Noob to suspension, I appreciate any help I can get.

Tried reading up on other posts and forums but muddy information

Post pics of rear pinion. So first off, actual number on pinion angle are a result of properly set up suspension. So ditch the idea of absolute angles for now. Do you have vibrations when you drive? If not, you could be done. What year and mode of JK do you have?

You want to point the rear pinion at the transfer case. This is super easy to eyeball because the yoke of the driveshaft and yoke of the pinion will be even/level. With uppers disconnected, you can jack up pinion till it’s good, then set arms appropriately. If they’re double adjustable, then do it with them installed.

The pinion needs to move UP, not down. In which case, your adjustable arms will work. It is going to bow your springs. You can take a little bow out with adjustable lowers, but you’ll start messing with wheelbase at that point.

Zero degrees is the goal... You can only set pinion with adjustable uppers.

Post a picture of your rear pinion from the side.

So the pinion is low. Your adjustable uppers on the way will do the trick. Support pinion with a jack. Take out old uppers. Jack pinion up until the kink in the joint is gone (until the 2 parts of the driveshaft, and therefor the pinion, are in line). Adjust new uppers to whatever length they need to be to get bolts through them. Tighten up to proper specs. All done.
