Remote start causing radio not to function

....anyone else had this happen ? 2010 JKU, trigger the remote start, wait a few, get in the car, insert key and turn engine over. Then try to turn the radio on, and no sound.

It's not constant, but happens every 5th or 6th time i auto-start. I then have to stop the car, put in park, pull the key and open the door, just to start the car again.

Makes for an annoying commute into work in the morning when you don't have your favorite talk show. I used to think it was a stereo unit (i'm still rockin the stock touch screen), but now i'm wondering if it's not a wiring issue ????

Now that's weird. You say you use the remote start for your JEEP but it somehow causes a problem with the radio in your CAR. I've never heard of such a thing.

Anyhow, is it an aftermarket remote start or radio?

BTW, a cute little kitten dies whenever someone refers to their Jeep as a car.

If it's anything like my Ford F150, you have to flash (or what ever it's called) the computer every time a new compatible accessories is added. Is that not true when installing a remote start? I've been thinking about one for my 2012 Sport with a 6 spd. standard transmission.
