Replaced Fog Lights w Yellow Hella Optilux, HLs w Phillips X-treme ,How'd They Look?

Philips X-treme 80+ look great, did a 3m headlight polish w my recently acquired air tools and they are the non HID bulb to buy, the end.
I'm having problems with my fog lights, please help if anyone can! After researching and troubleshooting, I am still struggling to understand what I can do to make my fog lights work again.

The Lowdown:
-OE harness and original fogs were working prior to installing the yellow Hella bulbs
Then installed and still currently installed the Optilux
Bulb specs: Hella H10 12v 42w yellow

-Did the ignition / key trick to determine there were 0 trouble codes, got the "done"
I've reset the battery, both cables for +15mins
Drove it to dinner and back
and now back to researching wtf happened

Important details to note
Before my most recent attempt (hella h10 yellows), I did a trial install with a set of HIDs 3000k to see how they'd look, didn't work, flickered about 3 x then no signal, similar to what's happening now. Then, removed and replaced with the stock whitish H10s. I even asked it nicely to correct the troublesome pc after I took it for a ride. No love..

Should I reset for 8+hrs?
Put the stock bulbs back in to see what up?
Or go gamble $ at a shop and hope for a result?
Shoot, I'd even paypal someone enough for a beer if they can help me out. Sucks when you wait for things to come in the mail and they don't work. Like a toy on Christmas but no batteries.

Thx fellas

When you tried the HIDs, did you just plug them in, or did you also wire a ballast to ignite them? If you didn't use a ballast, well, that's why they didn't work too well. It takes around 18000 volts to ignite an hid. If you didn't use a ballast, you probably blew a fuse somewhere. So if everything stopped working after that, I'd check fuses and relays.

I used ballasts but I'll search how to check for the fuses and relays, thanks

After more research, I guess the best thing to do is try and reset the computer and see if that clears anything in the pc that's preventing the fog lights from turning on.

Does anyone suggest going to a parts store and borrowing a scanner vs a hard, battery reset over night?

And youre sure its the computer and not the wiring or bulbs? You've put the stocker ones back in? What exactly happens when you turn them on?

I've got the hella optilux still in assuming i needed to reset the pc, I'm trying a battery disconnect over night and if that doesn't do it, I'll put the stock ones back in. I seriously doubt the wiring has been affected.
Currently w the hellas in, when the fogs are engaged, they strobe on/off about 3x then stay off. This is annoying as you can imagine, no relays or fuses to check that I'm aware of. Thanks for the replies

Sounds like a PWM issue. You can't run a relay or non-incandescent bulb off the light system without isolating the device with an RC circuit of some sort - special harness or DIY circuit.

I've never dealt with an HID system specifically but that could be your cause.

Just another thought.

Try putting the OEM bulbs back in so we can rule out a PCM issue. Then we can troubleshoot wiring.

ok, stock bulbs back in, they both are working. This is puzzling, the Hella yellow bulbs are the same rating as the stock GE bulbs 42w.. what is happening when they're installed?
