RIPP supercharger tuner

I just purchased a JK with a RIPP supercharger on it. I really like it except the Diablo tune in it is painful to say the least. The first problem is I canít get it to smog because it refuses to cycle all of the required blocks. The second problem is how it shifts. In order to get it to shift in some gears you have to lift or it will bounce off the rev limiter even at less than 50% throttle.

Does anyone have any recommendations and know of a good tuner? My understanding is that changing over to HP tuners may be a better option to solve both of my problems. Is that correct? Thanks

8pack,
Your issue is very common. It is not limited to the Ripp supercharger. We see this same issue from almost every SC manufacturers "canned" tune. The tunes that come with the kits are very generic and very "safe". Make the problem even more difficult is the fact that Mopar has so many different calibrations for the exact same JK that it is virtually impossible for the SC manufacturers to provide a truly optimized tune with their kits for every JK. If you need a tune for this setup you can purchase it right from our website. I strongly recommend purchasing the TCM tune as well to correct the shifting issues. Here are some links to get you started if you are interested:

HPtuners tuning tools (purchase the MPVI w/2 credits):
Electronics to Reach Your Car's Full Potential | OST Dyno

Purchase the PCM tune here (please read the email tuning instructions):
https://ostdyno.com/tuning-options/r...-and-policies/

Purchase a flashed TCM here (if not purchasing a tcm tune with PCM tuning):
TCM Flashing | Jeep Shifting Issues | Raised Shift Points | OST Dyno

Shoot me an email if you have any additional questions after reviewing the information in the above links - [email protected]

I dropped off my Jeep at SOAP, Supercharger Outlet And Performance. They are doing a custom tune for my RIPP. Better shift points, maybe a 1-2 mpg increase lol. Can't wait to see how it comes out. They are going to let me video the last pull on the Dyno as well. I'll post it here when it gets finished as well as a review of the tune.
