Rubicon locker and regearing

This may be obvious to many of you, but I need a little help.

Considering an older (pre 2012) Rubicon and would like to lift and put 35"s. I will need to re-gear to get the specs back close to stock. Question is: If I re-gear does that impact the stock locker? Can I use it without issue, or does it need to be replaced with a different one?

Thanks.

Put in Yukon 5.13 gears and you are good to go. No problem with the factory locker.

Thanks. That's good news. Should I assume that there is no issue with going to 5.13 as long as it is the Rubicon (Dana 44). I read about some of the other models having to change out the carrier to run lower gears.

That is correct. Your D44 carrier is fine with 5.13. You already have 4.11 stock.

^what he said, yukon 5.13s in 2008 rubicon with auto transmission (most people do 4.88 if its manual) lockers work fine.
