Rubicon rear differential fluid

I understand that's not needed to add the additive since it is a rock Trac. Buy that being said I notice alot of youtube videos and jeep posts telling other you must add the 4oz. To a Rubicon. I just changed my 10A with Amsoil and it doesnt come with the additive.
Just 100% making sure it's not necessary. I feel 99% right that it does not need it but there's always a little bit of doubt now that everyone tells you know you have to do it.

Correct. No additive required.

Use 80W-90 gear oil, conventional or synthetic. 75W-140 synthetic in rear diff if towing a trailer.

But I believe all Amsoil gear oils are compatible with the LSD's, implying they do have some of the additive you don't need.
"AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR is compatible with most limited-slip differentials."
But that is fine, it won't make a difference.
You will be fine using Amsoil Gear Lube. You don't need to add any additive.

Thanks for the help. That will make me sleep better at night. I knew that was the case, but when other people say it enough times we tend to start believing or questioning if I was correct.
Our Sahara has the LSD so I knew it was needed.

For your Sahara, AMSOIL + the AMSOIL friction additive would do wonder.

I used to have a Grand Cherokee (with gerotor LSD), had bad gear chatter on the OEM oil. Put in AMSOIL and the additive, the chatter disappeared!
