School me on axle options

Fellas,

I currently have the stock D30 in my 08 JKU w/ 4" lift and 37's.
I know I can get a rubi D44 take off etc but if I'm going to replace then I want to get something with more Meat so I don't have to do it again. Also have something with more built in pinion angle.

I've seen recommendations on the G2, T44, JKS Pro rock's etcc.

What's the best bang for the buck ?

Mopar performance D44HD with the J8 tubes best bang for the buck.

Are these sold as fully assembled and bolt in ?

How about more caster built in?

A good housing is 2.2k or so, like Dynatrac or Teraflex or G2 or whatever. I think the Mopar one is less but maybe not quite as beefy?

RCV's if you want them are about $1000.
Ball joints $3 - 500 depending on which
Gears/install kit - $400 or so.
Locker - $900
etc

To have a killer setup is around 5 - 5.5k, bolt in and go. If you skipped on RCV's and a few goodies you might get one for around $4k but I don't know if I would want to cut those corners myself. I'd rather install and not worry about it for ten years .

Dv8 is coming out with a HD 44. Unlike the J8 it will have 60 size inner knuckles for $1300 (iirc)
Also caster correction based on lift height.

The way we see it is there are the guys who want to only replace the D44 housing and not mess with internals or sourcing D60 parts etc. and there are guys who are totally willing to source their own parts from a D60. Eventually we want to offer a full axle with all the components, but for now we are going to start with these 2 housings and then grow from there. The first to come out will be the D44 replacement with:

Ability to re-use Rubi locker, Shafts, Gears, Outers, etc.
Caster correction
High pinion
Beefed up C's
1/2" Tubes,
1/4" Brackets
(Possibly LCA Skids)
Raised Trackbar Bracket with multiple hole positions
(Still working on Drain Plug details)

And we are working really hard to keep the cost down so that we can offer a really high quality axle housing for around $1300, we will have the first one ready around the end of the month and then start production a couple weeks after that so we are around 45 days out on getting our first production run going.

We have also started talking about producing a rear housing for the JK as well.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions/ideas! This product wouldn't be possible without your input!

Would be cool if they can do a hybrid with 60 outers with lockouts

I'm assuming at that price it's just the housing?

Would something like the DV8 be any better or worse than a Dynatrac 44 unlimited once both were set to be bolted in with axles, gears ( no locker ) ?

I definitely only want a housing with extra pinion built in considering I netted 5" of lift and could use some more wiggle room with caster

For someone who just over lands essentially, would RCV's be overkill compared to just some good chromoly's?

Yes. Looks to be as good or better then a PR. Also cheaper which is nice.

For the price I believe the RCVs would be the way to go. They are serviceable and from what I have read will last much longer then the U Joints in the chrome Mollie's.. Personally I think for just over landing standard spicer UJoints in factory axles will do just fine.
