Skid plate to help with larger tires

I am looking at running some 285/70/17 tires on my stock '13 JKU on stock 17" wheels with 1.5" Spidertrax spacers. I've heard of some have their wheels rub the front air dam. I don't want to add washers to my steering stops as I don't want to decrease my turning radius.

I was thinking there might be a small or compact skid plate that I could install in place of the front air dam since I don't think I will like the look of just taking it off.

Any suggestions or comments on this train of thought? Any front skid plates you would recommend that would work and work or look good with the factory front bumper?

Thanks.

If you like the airdam look, just crank the wheel to see where it hits and take some material off with a carpet knife or something.

Mopar skid plate. Well made, fits perfectly and easy to install.

I like the AEV skid but you really need the AEV bumper to use it. I spoke to AEV about using it on the stock bumper and the owner said he though it could be fabbed to work but was not sure what it would entail.

I have the aev skid and bumpers. The skid is only there to protect the sway bar disconnect motor. That thing is expensive....
