Soft top lifting off above door in wind

While driving in high winds, my soft top (Ď15 JKU) lifts up over the passengerís side door enough that I can actually see daylight. Usually itís when going over 40 MPH, and itís done this since new, but it wasnít frequent enough to worry about until this year (I run my hard top from late fall to early spring).

The driverís side is just fine.

Iím certain itís installed correctly, and fully latched into place. When it happens, I can see the horizontal frame rails lifting, so itís not just the fabric.

Anybody know if this can be adjusted somehow, or am I looking at either a new over-door frame or a new top?

I had this happen with my Ď15 JKU and it wound up being loose hardware on the soft top frame that held the metal arms together. It was just loose enough to allow slight movement at the joints which allowed it to lift up just enough at highway speeds to see daylight.

I had this happen also. Mine turned out to be the wires that is attached to the springs on both side had snapped. I had to replace both wires.

I didnít have to replace anything. Just tightened screws in frame and put loctite on them.

Check to see if the cable stay spring has come off it's attachment point on the frame. On my 09, it falls off occasionally when the top is down and I have to re-connect it.

I noticed wind noise once, and that was my problem. The hardware came off the pin. I had to stand in the jeep with the top lifted to see it and fix it.
