Softtop bracket question

Ive had softtop TJ before but never a JK. When I bought my used JKU I got a softtop with it but figured I would never use it. But now Im thinking I may at some point. How do the brackets work? The softtop has one on it already as you can see from the first pic. In the second pic you can see there is also a bracket screwed into the rollbar. Does that bracket screw into the other bracket or do I only need one bracket? Once I can get past this i think the rest will be easy.

The knuckles on the end of the bows screw directly into the roll bar brackets, you only need one roll bar bracket on each side.

If the brackets are different use the one attached to the soft top bows. There are two different types of roll bar brackets and they must match the model year of the top, not the vehicle.

IMO it's easier to install the top with the roll bar brackets attached to the roll bar first. Then line up the top and screw the knuckles into the brackets.

Interesting... So he must have had two soft tops, kept the one, and gave the dealership what was left of the OEM top.

So second question. I think im going to use this top at some point this summer to just keep some of the rain and sun off the jeep if need be. I dont have any of the other hardware and I dont plan on getting it. What you see in the pic is all I have. Also no windows. Think this would be ok? Would it hold up if I needed to drive with it up? Im guessing it would balloon up a bit in the wind since Im not snapping in the top sides...
