Stop/turn lights went bad

So within one day both my tail lights lost stop/turn lights. Today i picked up new bulbs and changed them and no luck. I don't know what else could be the issue. Any ideas what to look for? Its a 17 month old jeep. Should i take it to the dealership? They should warrant this problem, right?

If you've not modified the electrical and/or lighting system, they would have no problem warrantying it. Take it in. Let us know what the problem was when they fix it.

Do Trucklight headlights count as lighting modified? Ive had them for almost a year.

It might be a problem...might. That would depend on the dealer.

Do you have a [digital] multimeter?

Do your front turn signals operate normally? Is it only (1) both your brake lights and (2) both your rear turn signals that are inoperative?

I don't have the multimeter. Both tail lights lost stop/turn signals. Its one bulb in each tail light acting stop/turn light.

See Owner's Manual, p. 619. Check fuse M01, which is a blue 15-amp fuse.

Jeep Owners | Download an Owners Manual 2004 - 2011 | Jeep

Let me know if it is still good (the metallic fuse element will be intact; if not, it will be broken in half).

You're welcome. These newer lighting systems are a bit trickier to troubleshoot because of the CAN-BUS. Often times, they require the scan tool. When both bulbs failed to operate, that's a sign that it's not the bulbs, but either a switch or a control unit that controls both bulbs, and of course, the fuse (but that's good). Anyway, let us know what the dealer says.

I've seen it happen a few times though.
My dad's Ford Ranger had both headlights blow out within 5 minutes of each other.

Also, a while back I was at work and the interior cabin lights (UH-60 Blackhawk has 3) didn't work. Turned out to be all three light bulbs were blown.
