Stubby antenna issues

I bought this one: https://www.fortec4x4.com/AMI-42xxK-...angler-JK.html

The antenna is not threading in correctly. The antenna bracket threads look a little worn. So I thought I would order a new one. Went to Fbay and got a little confused.

I find these Mopar OEM part numbers for the same part: 56040921AE & 56040921AF. What are the difference? I assume manufacturing dates, AE older and AF newer.

I had issues with the one I ordered and just received yesterday. Mine was really difficult to screw in but eventually went in, then when assembling the plastic parts I realized that the part around the center barrel had a crack in it. Fortunately, ExtremeTerrain is sending me a new one, good company to deal with especially when you have problems, FleeBay, not so much.

AntennaX makes excellent ones. Here is the shorty version: http://www.amazon.com/AntennaX-Short.../dp/B00DQJ8T00

I bought the 2' one and it has much better reception than stock. http://www.amazon.com/AntennaX-Repla...rch_detailpage
