Question Suspension Question

OK, I'm pretty mechanically inclined and used to rebuild classic mustangs with my dad back in the day. Anyway, I really never got much exposure to suspension as my dad always did that. I was engine, transmission and body guy! LOL

Anyway, I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2 door that I recently picked up. The question I have is this: What is the largest wheels I can run with stock suspension? At what point would I need a lift kit or re-gearing?

Thanks!

you can run up to a 33 but your springs may have some sag being a 2011.

As you can imagine if you think about it, this question has been asked many times. Here is a "Sticky" thread (meaning it always stays near the top of the forum topics list) on that subject:

Here is another good posting on tires & wheels:

Use the Search feature to find many other postings on this topic, and other topics you are interested in. And take a look through the other Sticky topics for lots of great info on your JK.

Would 33x12.5 on 17" rims be ok? How much backspacing? 4"?
