Taillight Assembly

I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and I am looking into installing hide away emergency lights in my taillights and I was wondering if anyone knew if you could remove just the lens on the taillights instead of taking off the whole assembly? Thanks

I believe that the 2 screws that you are warned about not removing will open the assembly. Look at the owners manual. I forget which two screws dismount the light from the body and which give you the access you desire.

The two screws on the tail light on the inside remove the whole light.

There's not much room in there though. I had some little ones hidden in the TJ, but they weren't as bright as I needed and they barely fit too. I'm thinking I may need some installed in the bumper this time.
