Over the last couple of weeks, my 2012 has been acting a bit strange... Note that these changes started after a few days of freezing weather (uncommon for where I live)... Anyway, my Wrangler used to maintain the temperature just below the midpoint on the gauge... Now, while driving, it'll steadily climb to just about the 3/4 line... A bit troubling... The fan will kick on FULL BLAST and it'll pretty much level off there. When I stop, it will quickly return to the point that I would expect it to be at (around half)... Anybody have any ideas?

Have you checked the coolant level? Maybe it's low or has to be burped. Have you looked in the coolant recovery tank for casting sand? These are the first things that come to my mind with the Pentastar powered Wranglers. HTH

The reserve tank was empty, so I went out and bought some coolant and added it to the reserve tank (not the radiator)... After driving it around, I checked the level and it is unchanged from where I added the fluid.

Did you drive it long enough for the thermostat to open? It won't draw in any new fluid until the engine needs it.
