Throw out bearing

Is this a serious thing? I am having a chirping noises when I release the clutch in neutral on my jk. I have heard it is not performance altering. just looking for a little bit more info on this issue if anyone else has had it.

When you say chirping could you post a video? Does it happen in gear as well when you release the clutch or just neutral. Does it do it all the time or sometimes?

I've had this in my personal vehicle (which has a 5 speed stick).
My car did it after so many miles, because I had a bad habit of keeping my clutch pedal depressed at stop lights and such. I've since learned (on the next clutch change), to let the clutch alone, except when actually shifting.

The bearing's been quiet. But, even though my previous bearing got noisy, it never really worried me. How many miles do you have on your noisy bearing?

Hardrubi, I bought it used. so its probably due for a new clutch anyways. 129000. with a clutch kit would it come with everything you think I would need to get rid of the issue?

its just neutral that I have noticed. it stops as soon as I depress the clutch and sounds normal again. its not terribly loud. just an annoying tick.

Mine doesn't chirp, it's more like a creeky basement door or something. Been doing it for 10k, no issues other than the minor annoyance of it. At least once I hit 2nd, the wind noise drowns it out.

And yea, if you're getting a clutch "kit", the TOB should be included, but definitely double check prior to install.

Mine went from chirping to an all out squeal a few months ago ('07 JK 143k miles). Had it changed along with the clutch.
