Tie Rod (stock) end boot/dust cover failure

I was prepping my 08 JKU (torque/grease) for a big desert trip in 5 days when I noticed the boot split on the knuckle end. There is no noticeable play with the tie rod and I don't have any death wobble issues at this point.

With having to work before the trip, I'm not sure I'll have time to get to it or get parts in time. Can anyone tell me if I absolutely need to fix this now?

The stick rod ends have a shirt life anyways. Pack some grease into it and call it good.
