Timing Cover Leak - Common?

Tomorrow my '13 goes in to have the timing cover gasket/seal replaced, as it's been leaking oil. Glad this happened just inside warranty, otherwise it would be the better part of a grand to fix due to the labor involved.

I'm curious if anyone else has run into this. Mine has a whopping 44K miles on it, which makes it extra irritating. This really has me wondering about what I'll run into next on this damn thing since I'd like to keep it another five years....

My wife's 2015 had this leak, with less than 11k miles on it. Worst part was the dealer breaking everything. Finally had to take it to another dealer to get the job done right.

When we had the leak, I didn't find too many people with the same issue. Took a while to diagnose.

Apparently it was easy to diagnose on mine, the Jeep was only on the lift for a few minutes....

Of course, judging by the spot on my garage floor, it's leaking at a fairly good rate.

Fairly good rate means it is unlikely a timing cover seal leak and given the history of this model engine more likely an oil cooler housing leak.

Not so, it's bone dry around that. Definitely up front.
