Tires and wheels

Hello. I have a 2015 rubicon unlimited that I love. It's time to put some tires and rims on her. My question is; I'm looking at putting 305's on but I don't want to lift her. Can I put that size on without any rubbing?

You'll need both wheel spacers and a small lift like a leveling kit otherwise if you go off road and disconnect you'll rub your fenders, also that width is too wide for the oem wheels without spacers.

I run a 305/70/16 (33's) with the Teraflex leveling kit and after market wheels with a backspacing of 4.5" (oem is 6.25") and get no rubbing turning lock to lock or off road while disconnected.

This thread has a lot of good info on sizes and what will fit without a lift.

Good Luck!

Do you know what the backspacing is of the wheels you ordered?

I don't know what the backspace is, but the info above is great. I'm ordering the leveling kit and should be golden. I wouldnt be opposed to a lift but I won't be able to get into my garage, being able to park in the garage trumps a lift... thanks for all the info!!

You should know the backspacing because they may rub if it's the same as the oem wheels (6.25")...You''ll want no more than 5.2" (AEV wheel backspacing for the JK). Many here including myself run a 4.5" backspaced wheel.

My back spacing is 4.5. I ordered the teravlex leveling kit. I actually have a husband who is helping me, but I like to be educated and we'll versed on my jeep. Now I'm wondering jf I need a different tire carrier? Haha.
