it is hit or miss some jk's need them others don't. The flicker bothers some people some it does not. The only time you will notice it is when you are parked or stopped and your lights are shinning directly on a flat surface.

I thought the CANBUS started with the 2012s?

Pre-CANBUS you shouldn't need the anti-flicker harness. The flickering is caused by the CANBUS system using pulse-width modulation to limit how much power is used by the headlights.

Before trading our 10 for a 14, we had the LED's, once you have then you will never want anything else. We got the anti-flicker harness with the package from Northridge. The dealer said some will flicker, some wont. I would try them out and see, if they don't flicker its ~$50 you don't have to spend. Saving to get them again for the '14.

on my 2015 i used the anti-flicker - good but some delay when moving from high to low (its a capacitor basically) maybe 1-2 seconds.. but works great no issues at all other than mounting the harness (bigger than i thought but fully sealed). I just did the headlights if your interested..
