U Connect Device Connection

Is there a way to set the U Connect in my 2012 JK Ao that it connects to my iPhone 7 Plus automatically each time I start the Jeep? It connects to the phone part fine but I have to manually touch devices and then select on the touch screen on the Jeep. I am connecting thru Bluetooth. Thanks.

Once paired, the phone should automatically connect to the radio and be available to receive or make calls every time you start the vehicle up.

Are you referring to streaming music etc. from the phone to the radio over Bluetooth?

If so, I've never managed to have this happen by default. (Same goes for USB stick streaming as well). Every time I get out and then back in, I have to re-establish the streaming connection with my iPhone 7 Plus. That is a pain.

It's not that hard though.. I use the voice commands. I tap the steering wheel button and say 'Bluetooth'. If the phone is playing music, it will start streaming to the radio right away.

I'll try the voice commands. It connects automatically for phone usage like you said but not for playing music or podcasts. It sure seems like once it's connected, it should each time it detects the phone close enough. My Honda does. Thanks for the reply, at least I know it's not just me.

Any advice on fixing the streaming quality, also 2012 jk. The audio is horrible via streaming, like not slightly degraded, but inaudible

Not sure about quality issues. I also have a Hyundai car. When I had a Blackberry phone, the BT audio was bad, but when I switched to a Samsung Galaxy Note, it was OK. It might be the device.

I'm currently using an iPhone 7 Plus and it works well with the Jeep and the Hyundai.
