Upgrading Pioneer Head unit to GPS compatible model

I've had the Pioneer AVH-X2800BS for about 3 years now and want to upgrade. I did a backup camera and steering wheel control module.

I found a good deal on the AVIC-8400NEX.

My question is, since I already have the wire harness from the old Pioneer, is this just plug and play?

The GPS antenna is obviously separate, as is the HDMI cord.

Thanks a lot. I'm good with home A/V but car audio drives me insane!

Yes, the Pioneer harness is the same and I assume that you did the steering wheel controls and backup camera with the 2800. If that is correct, then it's plug and play.

Yep, I compared the diagram.

But, I did order the Maestro RR so it looks like I'll replace that at least.

Not a direct relation, but I put the 8400 in another vehicle, and I'm really liking it so far. Way better than the Kenwood DNX I have in the Jeep.
