Weird Noise front driver side (Maybe Spring?)

Hi Everyone,

I have a bit of a problem with my new 2015 JK. It currently has 1200 miles on it and I am starting to hear a noise on the front driver side.

I have installed a Smittybilt skid plate that added some weight up front. It is a Willy’s edition that has the rubi shocks and springs.

The noise sounds like the spring is compressing. I am wondering if anyone has had this issue when added weight up front? IE Skid plate, winch, bumper, etc…

Do the springs need to settle in after a few thousand miles? If so should I wait or should I take it to the dealer?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 10 Rubicon with an off road bumper, winch and front skid and I've never had any issues. I don't even have any measurable sag. I never had a spring issue and there's no noise. Maybe the spring wasn't set in place properly at the factory. Without actually inspecting it I don't want to speculate any further. With your set up there shouldn't be any unusual noise, especially if you don't have a lift and are running stock wheels/tires. If it is lifted, inspect the components.
