What is this hose/line?

A few months ago I had the cylinder head replaced on my jeep and it has been running great but today I opened up the hood and found this hose disconnected and I cant find where it goes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks a lot like the vacuum line that goes to the pump on the front bumper.

Hmmm I might have a problem. I bought this JK used and it had an aftermarket bumper on it when I got it. I thought they stopped using vacuum pumps a long time ago. What does the vacuum pump do?

"Its [sic] to provide extra vacuum to the brake booster in certain situations that most people will never encounter."

Hmmm. Could also be the front axel breather tube missing the white cap. See where it runs.

Is your vacuum pump relocated to the engine bay? It would most likely be real close to that loose hose.

If that pump has been relocated, that lose end is probably the hose than ran to the bumper and is no longer being used. Someone didn't take the time to remove it, just left it there.

The vacuum pump was used on the Pstar because, under certain unlikely conditions, the Variable Valve Timing may not provide enough vacuum to keep the brake servo happy.
