Who runs a 2.5'' lift/35's without bump stops?

I hear so many mixed reviews on this topic that I don't know who or what to believe. Im installing a RK Stock Mod 2.5'' lift with 315 series tires and factory fenders. Rancho 9000 shocks in the 29 and 30 series. I want to lift this weekend but havent got bumps due to conflicting answers. Most suppliers tell me I wont need them. RK said it's a matter of opinion. I think its more of a necessity than an opinion. I consider my rig to be a daily driver/Mall crawler if you will. However, I like mud! I know eventually I will end up in the bush with it and dont want to tear off my fenders, or bottom out my shocks, etc. Is it more wise to lift, flex, measure or just get something in the ballpark range that works with this lift or...? Im open for honest opinions and suggestions. Thanks.

I run a 2.5 lift with 315/70/17 duratracs and no bump stops....under high flex situations my tires would hit the fenders, I have since installed flats and no more issues.

Bump stops are not included because no two jeeps are set up the same. Bump stop height is going to depend on height, tire size, shock size, flat flares, etc
One should cycle the suspension without the coils and bump stop enough to avoid any interferences.
RK tends to be a little more then 2.5" depending on weight. For a 2.5" lift, 35's and stock flares. 2" should be fine.
You can run the 31/32xl Rancho's for a little more travel but might need a little more bumpstop to prevent over compressing the shocks.
Too many variables
