Winter Tire Rims

Searching Google, want to confirm with the brain trust on the forum.

What other Jeep's rims will fit my 2014 Unlimited?

Looks like

Jeep Grand Cherokee 5 lug 5 inch or 127mm High Positive Offset
Jeep Commander 5 lug 5 inch or 127mm High Positive Offset

From this site: Jeep _ Vehicle Bolt Pattern Reference

Are those the ones to use? Only thing is that the Unlimited pattern says

Jeep Wrangler 5 lug 5 inch or 127mm Medium Offset

Medium offset.

The specs are correct but medium offset is vague.

The offset or more importantly the backspacing depends on the rim width. Winter tires should not be wide so the backspacing doesn't have to be as low as required for wide tires such as 11.5" and wider. The stock rims are perfectly good winter rims.

Yea, I don't know what the medium means either :P

I like to keep two separate rims - that way tire changes don't involve going into a shop and having them destroy my rims. Steel winter rims with winter tires is my ideal setup on other vehicles I've owned.

You might find a cheap set of take offs in Craigslist.

Keep your eye out on Craigslist for JK rims. I did and picked up 5 new take offs w/o sensors for $300, and 4 new take offs w/sensors for $300. Using them on wife and daughters Jeeps with Blizzak's.

I did the same. Picked up a full set of early Sahara 18s and use them for my Blizzaks.
