01 TJ possible fuel system prob

Here is the problem. Driving 50-55 and lose power like running out of gas. I can shut it off 30 seconds or so and get through 3rd gear powers down again. it will idle but can't give it any gas again acts like it's not getting any till I shut it off a bit. It done this a week ago and I had intention of replace fuel pump and regulator. It sat for 1 week till I could work on it I then borrowed a fuel pressure guage which read good. I did not replace pump but was able to drive all week with no issues till tonight, same thing. I don't have the guage so I can't check it so now it will sit till I can check out tomorrow. I've read and read but don't know what to think because of all other post and multiple diagnosis. if im going to have to start replacing parts who thinks fuel pump assembly is first? Can it come and go like that though? Sorry for the long FIRST post.

Yes, if it's the fuel pump. Symptoms kinda sound like fuel pump to me.
