Question 03 TJ - Turn Signal Issues

Hey everyone,

This is my first post on this fabulous forum, so please bear with me!

I own a 2003 Jeep TJ - Sport.

I have just recently switched out my Rear tail lights and reverse lights with LEDs, as well as switched out my front "parking lamps" and side turn signals with LEDs. I had the famous "hyperflash" and picked up a relay from NAPA to solve that issue.

All was working well until I hit the hazard lights. "Buzzzzz", I heard this for a few seconds until I realized my turn signals and hazards were busted!

After researching on this forum, I was directed to switch out the #27 fuse in the PDC and check the #13 behind the glove box. #13 was fine, and #27 turned out to be blown, so I replaced it. Now that it is replaced, a faint "ticking" is heard from my steering column, regardless of if the Jeep is running or not. (I have removed this fuse so as to keep it from ticking when the Jeep is off).

I am now hoping a knowledgeable Jeeper will be able to guide me in the right direction!

I forgot to mention, prior to hitting the hazard lights, the turn signals worked fine with the newly replaced LEDs.

Thank you all for taking the time to read,

Regards,
Jake

Y put may need to try a different flasher module.
I received a Novita module with my LED taillights that worked the turn signals properly but on the hazards they just buzzed. I got the Napa one and like you it ran the flashers for a few seconds and then fried the fuse.
I found a GCD brand one on Amazon and now my turn signals and hazards work.

Did you try pulling your new blinker module, and leaving the fuse in? Sounds like the Napa module burned up fast.

Ah, okay.

I'll order the GCD brand one and get back to you on how it works out.
Thanks for the advice!

Just tried this technique.

Results are still negative. Pulled the NAPA module out and put the fuse back in: blinkers still do not blink. Although, with the module out and the fuse back in, the ticking has stopped. Evidently, the module was the culprit of the ticking.

When I indicate the turn signals, however, the corresponding blinker light on the exterior of the Jeep flickers, but only for a tenth of a second.

Do you still think the problem is with the module?

Thanks for your time.

I still suspect the module.

Did this work for you? I am having the same issue. I have already ordered a relay of amazon and it did not solve the issue. Do you have a link of the relay that worked?

I think my GDC was from Amazon.
