06 TJ leaking differential fluid

New to me, built, has been sitting for a year or so. When I bought the TJ I had all the fluids changed including the differential fluid. Th rear was weeping through the vent line and stopped. Another member told me this was dur to over filling.

The front now leaks after engaging the 4x4 and locking the front hubs. It leaks through the axel bearing.

I am *hoping* this is from over filling as well and I do not need to replace these bearings/seals.

Advice appreciated

Easy way to check is remove the fill plug. If it has the stock diff cover, the fill plug will be at the level that the fluid should be.

Most likely it is the seals. Not expensive, but a decent amount of work to get to them.

Fluid was just at the bottom of the fill plug. Definitely was over filled. Ran around town for a bit with hubs locked and no fluid. Will try again tomorrow in some dirt.
