I have an 02 TJ 2.5L.

I can feel that the 4WD is working but the indicator has not worked in the time I've owned it. I read somewhere that there is a plug that sometimes comes loose and causes the light to not work but I have looked and can't seem to find anything going on. Any suggestions on what else it could be? or where exactly the offending connector is located so I can double check that.

Any help is much appreciated.

The wire for the indicator light is located on top of the transfer case on the drivers side. It usually is the switch that is gone. The wire located above plugs into the 4WD indicator switch. It just unscrews. I just changed mine. Cost $20.00 from the dealer.
