Just searched the forums for a new muffler to make my 2.5 a little deeper and louder. Found the ThrushWelded muffler and I seem to really like how it sounds and the cost ($33) . Bought it off of Amazon yesterday and should be here tomorrow. Before it gets here just wondering how hard its going to be to cut the old muffler and replace the new one, and what else I need. I also ordered some muffler/tailpipe sealer. Thanks for your help! Just want to make the process as easy and quick as possible.

You can cut the old one out with a sawzall. The new one will need a short section of 2.25" tail pipe added in (something like 6-8") to make the correct overall length. I would weld it in.

If you don't weld, take it into a muffler shop and it should be about $40-$50 to have it installed.

Some use clamps, but I have found that its best to have it welded in. By the time you add up the costs for clamps, adapters, etc...it not that much more just to have it welded in and sit back and drink a cup of coffee.
