Another grinding noise

There is a new and improved grinding noise coming from the driver's side rear wheel of the jeep. It sounds like the teeth on the axle shaft are just turning and not catching, but, it only does it when I'm stopped and starting out in first gear and it only does it for the first few seconds when i'm letting the clutch out and goes away when its moving. Anyone know whats going on? Also, this will be up for sale once I figure out what's wrong since I'm out of money and can't pay for the repairs...

judging by your avitar, my guess would be mud in the rear brakes. its hard to tell without seeing it.

Got a 93 YJ with the same noise. Think the rear axleshafts have play as wheels move in and out when jacked up. Going to investigate further.
