I use anything that has H.O.A.T.... It's usually the most expensive brand on the counter in NAPA.

My 2003 Wrangler Rubicon takes a special antifreeze per the cap on the overflow bottle. Check your owners manual. You don't want to put the wrong stuff in it for sure.

The tag owner's manual indicates H.O.A.T. There are many that say "compatible" for use with .... But look closely for specified H.O.A.T ingredient.

How long have you used it? Any problems? I am wondering because the manual states not to use Propylene Glycol based engine coolant. I did call Amsoil and they swear up and down that their coolant is safe if not better that Ethylene Glycol based coolant.

Your early model TJ came from the factory with regular "green stuff" IAT coolant. You can however switch to a HOAT coolant, such as Zerex G05, as long as you do a complete flush and remove trace of all the old coolant.

If you aren't the original owner best to do a complete flush anyway as it might be impossible to tell what the previous owner put in.
