Been Out of the Loop - Product Questions
Been out of the loop for about three years. I have some questions for the masses here. Please chime in with any opinions on this stuff.
Are OME shocks still considered to be high quality?
Does OME still help you tailor your shocks based on the equipment load you have on your jeep?
Is the big debate still over Johnny Joints or Duroflex Joints?
Is Savvy still one of the top producers of stuff?
Is Currie steering still the gold standard?
What are the current "hot" lift kits for both high-end and budget builds? Used to be Currie or Metalcloak at the top and the Zone 3"+1" budget lift was champ on the low end.
Have the PCMs finally become an issue for everyone? They were starting to crap out on a lot of people about three years ago and a few companies were starting to offer rebuilt units.
Who are the current big names in SYEs and driveshafts? I have a Tom Wood shaft and the Teraflex Extreme Short Shaft Kit. I am assuming that these are still respected components.
What about the Savvy tummy tuck and gas tank skid plates? I have these and love them, but I know they are probably old news by now.
No fighting, please. No flames. I don't want to know what everyone thinks is best or why. I want to know what is currently popular. Just curious. Not shopping, but seeing how "out of date" my TJ has become, heh, heh…
Someone please get me up to speed. I am clueless in regards to what is available and popular today on our TJs.
