BLACKWALL vs RAISED WHITE LETTERS

The PO put on BFG Mud Terrain T/A KM2 33x12.50 on 15" rims, 3"suspension lift - they are great tires. He had the raised white letters turned inside and the blackwall is showing. Can I flip these if I keep them on the same rim? They are almost brand new.

Heck yeah. Bring it into any place. They simply take tire off flip around and rebalance it and mount. Easy peasy.

If your ball joints were loose, or C's tweaked, it might feel a bit "wandery" until the tread pattern wears even again.

Ball joints do need to be replace but that's a month or 2 down the road.
Do you ask the shop if they do a "road force balance"?
Pep Boys will do the balance for free - should I have it done there?

Road force balance refers to a specific process done on a Hunter RF machine.

For what it's worth the local Mercedes dealership here is the cheapest place with a Hunter machine. $15 per wheel.

Easy swap, and in my opinion, your Jeep will look better.

Just stay away from Discount tire.

Because the blacked-out look is so popular here my tire guy put mine on with the white inside. He did not even ask me!

I have one blacked-out jeep (2013 JKS) but do not like that look so much on TJs. My TJ has unpainted aluminum rims and I had wanted the lettering to be visible. But whatever...

So one year later and I have swapped in my spare due to a screw in the tread of one of my tires. It did indeed go all the way through, too. It has slowly leaked down to about 12 psi from the 27 I usually run with.

When I go in to have it plugged I will be getting a complete rebalance. (At least one tire is a bit off.) I will have them flip the tires when they rebalance.

I probably will like that better. If not I will just have to get over myself, heh, heh, heh...

Curious as to why you say that? America's tire has been my best tire experience in 20 years. Maybe it's the management and guys local to me.

I love the B F GOODRICH white lettering!

Change it!

The Black look is so outdated.
