Broken #6 & #1 piston

Getting my 99 tj sport up to 3.8k RPMs the other night wrecked my pistons.
With about $1200 bucks and crazy CA emissions to pass, I'm having trouble deciding whether or not to buy a new 4.0 block and put it in or have mine remachined (don't know if my block is messed up), or stroke it to 4.7 or something. The goal I'm going after is to get my jeep up and running without a major dent to my wallet. Any opinions welcome

pull your motor out. disassemble yourself. If cylinder walls are screwed up, call Golen Strokers. If the cylinder walls aren't screwed up, call Golen Strokers, then sell block & salvageable parts.

with just the skirts breaking off the pistons; how likely is it that my block would be damaged? It was still running, driving, shifting and overall "working" fine.

would you rebuild yours and have yours re-machined? or buy a running 4.0 off craigslist with 90k miles for around $500 and take a gamble that it was actually running?

im just worried i might run into problems with rod bearings or something else not as obvious as my chunks of piston in the oil pan.
