Broken Shock

This is why you need to make sure you have the correct shock application for your jeep.

Haha, yea I didn't. The used lift I bought came with used Rough Country so I ran the one you see above while I could. If you look at where the shock is attached you can see where I sheered the bolt that came with the terraflex shock relocators. I figured Terraflex would give you bolts that didn't do this.

Anyways, I threw the used Rough Country's on while I'm still waiting for my new ones I ordered a month ago. Man these Rough Country shocks suck!

I'm on a budget build right now, so I am trying out the Doetsch Shocks. Everyone I have talked to said they are on the softer side and worth way beyond there price.

Rancho 9000's - you can dial in what you want.
I dial them about midway in the street (to 4 or 5) - turn up all the way hard for off road (9).

I do it while I'm airing down and disconnecting the swaybar.

Last weekend a stone destroyed one of my rear shocks.
I have no idea how that could happen...

The stone rubbed at the inside of the tire. In the first moment I thought that my TJ was burning because of the smoke.

Thats awesome nicolas. The rough country shocks are very stiff, the on road ride is not good at all. I do not have a problem with their springs but I have never driven in a jeep with something else. BigNuke just take the jeep for a ride and see how it drives.
