Cab air

I went off roading the other weekend and had to go through a creek or two. Ever since then when I turn on my heat or A/C it blows sand out. There is not a cabin air filter on TJ's. Does anyone know any other fixes?

Cowl drain might be clogged.

How do I check that? I'm fairly new to the jeep world I've only had mine since the end of summer.
