California 2.4

06 wrangler 2.4. Cats are discontinued for California emissions. Not sure what to do??? Anyone else here who had the same issue?

For the 4.0 liter yes. I’m having a very hard time finding one for the 2.4 tho

Call a few muffler shops. Someone will have an aftermarket weld in cat for your application. If you strike out you can get in touch with a referee station for assistance.

I could however only concern is when I go to smog it will they know it’s not legal?

Contact Magnaflow. They are pretty good supplying CA compliant cats for a lot of vehicles.





Also, are you sure you need to replace?

Thanks. I’m pretty sure. It’s throwing a p0420 and there isn’t much engine power and it had a bad exhaust manifold leak for the longest time that I fixed
