Click sound under hood with Heater on

Hello

I believe I have a leaking heater core so I was checking for leaks by running the heater and sticking my head here and there around the Jeep.

In the engine compartment I noticed a constant click sound that would click about every 10 sec's.
Hum of engine, then CLICK
Hum, then CLICK

I turned off the heater to confirm, and the clicking stopped.
If it makes any difference, I think I had the vent setting on defrost.

Is this normal? Mith it be a vacumm diaphram opening and then letting loose?

Thanks

No that's normal, it's the A/C compressor kicking on. It uses the A/C to remove mostiure from the air.

ahhh... also explains why my AC line was frosty.
I know when I run the defrost in other cars I manually turn on the AC to remove moisture. I didn't know this system does it automatically.

Thanks
