Cracked fog lamp: replace or upgrade

One of my stock fog lamps got cracked a few months ago. It's been annoying me to look at it, and the inside is starting to turn an ugly yellowish tint. So I'm looking at options for replacement.

As far as I can tell, I believe they're an enclosed lamp and the whole thing will have to be replaced. New sets seem to run around 120, so I'm expecting around 60 bucks a pop if I want a brand new one paired with my old one. But if I'm already spending that much, I wonder if I should just pick up an aftermarket set. And good brands have similarly priced lights that output the same/more light?
That brings me to the question, what can the factory wiring handle? I'm a complete ignorant when it comes to wiring. So I'm not ready to wire up a new set separately. I'd like to just cut and splice into the factory harness.

You can find the factory replacements a ton cheaper than that on eBay or craigslist. I almost bought a set for the same reason, one shattered.
There are also a lot of aftermarket lights, everyone has a preference, I went with KC. Wasn't until after I bought them that I learned the factory wiring harness for the fog lights won't handle anything more than the 55 watt factory lights.

I have 55 watt kc direct plug and play fog lights not higher watt off road ones. They work fine. I do believe those bulbs are replaceable. Not positive just think so off top of my head. Agree about eBay as well. So many "upgrade" and sell stock there. Good luck brother.

I bought KCs after my lights broke-not plug and play, but I just hooked them up with the factory wiring and they work great. I like the look of them better than my old OEM because they have the rock guards and I feel like they are higher quality than the OEM ones, just my opinion though.

Depending on what year TJ you have, I may have a factory replacement I'll send ya for a few bucks plus shipping. Do you have a pic of the messed up one?

You will be fine as long as you don't go more than 55 watts each and are just using a pair of them.

Just bought a set of NOS mopar replacement fog lights on ebay. Same price as the direct plug and play ones from the catalog. I like the stock look so that's what I went with.

Mine is a 2000. That'd be great. Not many seem to pop up on Craigslist around here. I could get a picture of it tomorrow.

Here's my lights. The one on the right, it's difficult to see but it's cracked and is starting to turn a yellowish/greenish color.

I replaced mine for $50 with Tuff LEDs from amazon. Soldered into stock harness, no upgraded harness or extra switches needed. Very much brighter than stock. Here's a pic of new vs old.
