Cranking Woes

97 Wrangler

When I jump in and hit the switch I get nice turnover and everything sounds to be working the way it should. However, it will not start. If I crank for a few seconds and turn the ignition off then wait a couple seconds and crank again she fires up. I replaced the fuel pump a little while back thinking that would fix my problem but it seems to keep doing the same thing. ASD? I have no idea what to check next.... I've got voltameter and everything if someone can give me some insite on where to go next

Thanks

Will it start if you push the gas pedal to the floor ("clear flood mode") the first time?
