Dash Vents Always Blow - Help
Dash vents blow air no matter what AC setting I’m on. (I've seen many people have an opposite issue.)
The vacuum lines inside the cab seem to be fine.
I see (and felt with my hands) the 2 different actuator arms moving and they seem to be connected. The actuator run by a little motor under the glove compartment is working as I took it all apart, powered it up with a 12v battery, and put it back in.
Recent related repairs:
1. I changed out the resistor pack and all blow speeds work now.
2. Vacuum line under the hood was disconnected and slightly cracked at the reservoir (under the battery). I wrapped it tight with electrical tape and plugged it back in to the reservoir. I haven’t seen a difference in anything.
My cruise control light turns on, but it will not set. (I mention this because I’ve heard it could be vacuum related … and thus potentially related to the AC issue I’m having.)
Any ideas?
